Dried brown marine seaweed sheets for grazing herbivores — the simplest way to give tangs, angels, rabbitfish and blennies the bulk vegetable matter they'd otherwise spend all day picking at on a natural reef. Pellets and frozen foods have their place, but they're gone in thirty seconds; a sheet of seaweed on a clip gives a herbivore something to work on for hours, which is far closer to how these fish are actually built to eat.

Who it's for
Any marine system with dedicated grazers — a mixed reef with a tang or two, a fish-only display with angels and rabbitfish, or a smaller tank keeping lawnmower blennies and herbivorous gobies. Tangs and surgeonfish in particular should be getting green food most days, not as an occasional treat.
The 30 g size suits daily feeders and multi-grazer displays. If you've only got one small herbivore and feed seaweed a couple of times a week, the smaller pack may be the better fit — sheets are at their best when they're used while fresh.
It's also worth having on hand if you're introducing a new herbivore. A sheet clipped in the flow is often the first thing a nervous, freshly settled tang will eat, well before it takes anything from the water column.
Setup & tips
- Use a veggie clip on the glass, mid-water where there's some flow. Fish are far more confident feeding away from the sand bed, and moving water keeps the sheet fluttering and visible.
- Start small. Tear off a strip rather than clipping a whole sheet — you want it eaten, not shredded into the overflow. Build up the portion once you know what your fish will clear.
- Remove anything uneaten after a few hours. Leftover seaweed breaks down and adds nutrients you'd rather not export later; a clip is much easier to retrieve than a dozen floating scraps.
- Keep the pack sealed and dry. Sheets go soft and lose their structure if they pick up humidity — an airtight container in the cupboard is plenty, and matters more with a bigger pack you'll be working through over weeks.
