Overview

The 1Link Cable M/M is a male-to-male connector cable used to link compatible controller modules together in a 1-Link daisy-chain network. If you're expanding your Apex-based control system — adding another EB8, FMM, or similar accessory module — this is the cable that joins them.

It's a simple but essential part: without a working 1-Link cable between modules, your controller can't see or command that accessory, so having a spare or replacement on hand keeps your system reliable.

Key features
  • Male-to-male connector for linking modules in series along a 1-Link chain
  • Straightforward plug-and-play connection — no configuration required
  • Handy as a replacement cable or for extending an existing module chain
Who it's for

Useful for any reef keeper running a modular aquarium controller system, whether you're setting up your first controller network on a nano or frag tank, or expanding a larger multi-module setup on a bigger display.

Setup & tips
  • Always power down your controller and modules before connecting or disconnecting 1-Link cables
  • Keep a spare on hand — a damaged or crimped cable is one of the more common causes of a module dropping offline
  • Route cables away from splash zones and pumps to avoid wear over time
  • Check module order and chain length against your controller's documentation if you're adding several modules at once
