Overview

A small air pump is one of those quiet-but-essential pieces of kit - powering an airstone, sponge filter, or venturi on a skimmer, and adding a bit of extra gas exchange when it's needed most.

This compact 2.5 LPM pump is sized for smaller jobs rather than driving a whole system, making it a handy option for quarantine tanks, small setups, or as a backup during power or equipment issues.

Key features

2.5 LPM adjustable air output
Compact, quiet operation suited to living spaces
Low power consumption for continuous use

Who it's for

Suits small to medium tanks, quarantine or hospital setups, or as a backup air source for sponge filters, airstones or skimmer venturis.

Setup & tips

Sit the pump above the waterline and use a check valve if it's ever positioned below tank level, to prevent water siphoning back into the pump
Match tubing length and airstone size to the pump's output - overly long runs or a very fine airstone will reduce effective flow
Place on a soft surface or pad to minimise vibration noise, especially in living areas
