Overview
A suction-mounted grid clip for holding seaweed sheets in the tank so your grazers can actually eat them. Drop a sheet in loose and it's either sucked into the overflow within a minute or shredded across the rockwork; a grid clip holds it flat and secure at a spot you choose, so the tang gets the food instead of the sock.
The grid design sandwiches the sheet between two panels rather than pinching one edge, which stops fish tearing the whole thing free in one go and keeps the leftovers contained when it's time to take it out.

Who it's for

Also handy in a quarantine or grow-out setup where a newly settled fish needs something familiar and stationary to start picking at. In busier displays, keepers often run two clips at opposite ends so a dominant tang can't monopolise the food.
Setup & tips
- Mount it mid-water, not down near the sand. Fish feed far more confidently up in the water column, and a bit of flow keeps the sheet moving and visible.
- Dry the glass and the cup before mounting. Suction cups grip best on clean, algae-free glass — give the spot a quick wipe with a magnet cleaner first and press firmly.
- Don't overfill it. A strip of seaweed rather than a whole sheet means less waste and a clip that's easier to close properly.
- Take it out after a few hours. Uneaten seaweed breaks down and adds nutrients you'll have to export later; pulling the whole clip is quicker than netting scraps.
